IV Vitamin Therapy

IV therapy delivers vitamins, minerals and fluids directly into the bloodstream during a calm, supervised visit. Each infusion at our Gulf Breeze clinic is chosen and overseen by a physician, never picked from a generic menu.

Nutrients delivered directly

When nutrients are taken by mouth, they must pass through digestion first, and absorption can be limited by gut health, medications or diet. An IV infusion bypasses the digestive tract, which allows higher blood levels than most oral supplements provide.

Our options include the Myers’ cocktail, a blend of B vitamins, vitamin C, magnesium and calcium used for decades, as well as hydration infusions and high-dose vitamin C. We review your history, medications and, when needed, lab results before recommending anything, because the right formula depends on you.

Many patients describe feeling hydrated afterward, though experiences vary. IV nutrient formulations are not FDA-evaluated for treating fatigue, immune concerns or other conditions, and IV therapy is not a substitute for medical treatment of a diagnosed condition.

Who may consider it

Patients often ask about IV therapy when they want support for:

  • Dehydration
  • Low energy
  • Nutrient deficiencies
  • Stress and busy seasons
  • Interest in integrative options
  • Questions about oral absorption

What to expect

  1. 1Screening. We review your health history, allergies and medications, and check for conditions that matter for the formula, including G6PD screening before any high-dose vitamin C, to confirm an infusion is appropriate.
  2. 2Your infusion. A small IV is placed in your arm and you relax while the solution runs slowly.
  3. 3Aftercare. You can usually return to normal activity right away. We suggest drinking water and let you know what to watch for.

Supervised by Dr. Deborah Viglione, MD

It is a combination of B vitamins, vitamin C, magnesium and calcium given by IV. It has been used for many years, but it is not FDA-approved to treat any condition, and individual experiences vary.

Most people tolerate infusions well. Possible effects include brief discomfort at the IV site, bruising or a flushed feeling. Tell us right away if you feel unwell during treatment.

No. Certain conditions, such as kidney or heart problems, or some medications, may make it unsuitable. That is why we screen every patient first.

It depends on your goals and health. Some patients come once, others schedule a short series, and we revisit the plan regularly.
