The O-Shot for Women
The O-Shot uses platelet-rich plasma from your own blood in a brief, private procedure for women interested in addressing intimate concerns. PRP for this purpose is off-label and not FDA-approved, and its effects on sensation, arousal, lubrication and urinary leakage are unproven.
PRP for intimate health
Many women notice changes in intimacy after childbirth, during perimenopause or menopause, or simply with time. Reduced sensation, difficulty with arousal, dryness and discomfort can all be part of the picture, and they are very treatable concerns worth talking about.
The O-Shot starts with a small blood sample, which is processed to concentrate platelets and their growth factors. After the area is numbed, the plasma is placed near the clitoris and the front wall of the vagina. Some women report changes in sensation, lubrication or comfort, but these effects have not been proven in rigorous studies, and results vary.
We will review your goals and history first so we can recommend the right approach for you, including other options with more established evidence.
