Viveve Vaginal Treatment

Viveve is a single-session radiofrequency treatment some women consider for vaginal laxity or reduced sensation after childbirth or menopause, as a comfortable, non-surgical approach. Its use for these concerns is off-label and not FDA-approved for this purpose.

A single-session radiofrequency option

Pregnancy, vaginal delivery and the hormonal shifts of menopause can change the strength and elasticity of vaginal tissue. Many women experience a sense of looseness, reduced friction and less satisfying intimacy, and may hesitate to bring it up.

Viveve uses cooled radiofrequency energy to gently warm the deeper tissue while protecting the surface. The heat is thought to stimulate collagen remodeling over the following weeks. Some women report changes in tissue feel or sensation, but these effects are not proven, and the FDA has issued a safety communication about energy-based devices used for vaginal rejuvenation. Viveve is designed as a single treatment session.

Your visit begins with a conversation about your goals and health history. We will help you compare Viveve with similar options, so you choose the one that fits your needs.

Viveve questions

Most women feel warmth and light pulses, and the built-in cooling helps keep the treatment comfortable. No anesthesia is typically required.

Some women report changes within several weeks, while others notice little. Results vary and are not guaranteed.

Both use radiofrequency energy, but they use different devices and treatment plans. Viveve is generally a single session, and we help you decide which suits you.
