Medical Weight Loss Program

A supervised program that pairs prescription weight loss medicine, when appropriate, with nutrition coaching and regular check-ins. Plans are individualized, and results vary.

Weight loss built around your biology

Hunger, cravings and metabolism are driven by hormones and brain signals, not just choices. Medicines in the GLP-1 class, such as semaglutide and tirzepatide, act on those signals and may help you feel full sooner and stay satisfied longer. Some patients describe fewer cravings, though experiences vary.

Medicine is only one part of the plan. Your visit includes a review of your health history, a lab panel and a realistic conversation about eating, activity, sleep and stress. We then set a steady, safe pace, with check-ins to adjust your dose, manage side effects and aim to support muscle as you lose weight.

Not every patient is a candidate for every medication, and some are better served by other options. We will explain the choices, the potential risks and what to expect before you decide.

Who it may help

Adults who want medical support and have:

  • Struggled to keep weight off
  • A BMI in the overweight or obese range
  • Weight-related blood sugar concerns
  • Strong cravings or constant hunger
  • Slowed metabolism after midlife
  • Joint pain made worse by extra weight

What to expect

  1. 1A thorough first visit. We review your history, medications and goals, check vital signs and order labs that look at blood sugar, thyroid and other key markers.
  2. 2Your personalized plan. If you are a candidate, we start a medicine at a low dose and pair it with simple nutrition and protein guidance.
  3. 3Ongoing adjustments. Regular follow-ups let us raise doses gradually, address side effects and keep you moving toward your goal.

Led by Dr. Deborah Viglione, MD

Medical weight loss questions

It varies. In published studies of GLP-1 medicines, many participants lost a meaningful share of their starting weight over several months, but results depend on your dose, habits and health. We set goals with you and review progress at each visit.

Nausea, constipation or diarrhea and reduced appetite are the most common, especially when starting or increasing a dose. They often ease with time, and we adjust your plan to keep you comfortable. We will review warning signs to watch for.

Weight regain is common when medicine is stopped without sustained lifestyle changes. We build habits alongside treatment and talk with you about a long-term maintenance plan.

Coverage varies by plan and by medication. Text us when you request a consultation and we can explain what to expect.
