PRP & Exosome Facial
Often nicknamed the vampire facial, this treatment applies your own platelet-rich plasma, typically with microneedling, and can include exosomes as an optional add-on. Many patients choose it hoping for a fresher-looking complexion.
Your own growth factors, plus exosomes
Platelets are rich in growth factors that signal the skin to repair itself. We collect a small blood sample, concentrate the platelets and apply the plasma to your skin during treatment, typically along with microneedling.
Exosomes are tiny particles released by cells. Exosome products are not FDA-approved for skin treatment, and evidence for their benefit is limited, so they are an optional add-on that we discuss openly at your consultation. A PRP facial is also an off-label cosmetic use of a blood-derived product.
Because PRP comes from your own blood, some patients prefer it to products from outside sources. Possible risks include bruising, swelling, infection and uneven results. Many patients notice gradual changes over several weeks, and results vary.

- 2Microneedling and application. After numbing, the skin is micro-channeled and your plasma and exosomes are applied.
- 3Recovery. Expect redness like a mild sunburn. Avoid makeup and sun for about a day and follow our skincare guidance.

PRP facial questions
Why is it called a vampire facial?
The name comes from the blood draw and the red appearance after treatment. In practice, it is a straightforward, comfortable procedure.
What do exosomes add?
Exosome products are not FDA-approved for skin use, and evidence for their benefit is limited. They are an optional addition, and we explain what is and is not known at your consultation.
How many sessions will I need?
Many patients start with a series of about three treatments, then maintain once or twice a year. Needs vary.
Who should not have a PRP facial?
Active skin infections, certain blood disorders and some medications can be reasons to wait. We review your history first.
