The P-Shot (Priapus Shot)
The P-Shot uses concentrated platelets from your own blood in a short, private in-office procedure for men interested in addressing erectile concerns and sensitivity. PRP for this purpose is off-label and not FDA-approved, and research is still developing.
Your own platelets, put to work
Platelet-rich plasma, or PRP, is made from a small sample of your blood. After the sample is spun in a centrifuge, the platelets are concentrated. Platelets contain growth factors, and PRP is used in several areas of medicine.
In the P-Shot, this concentrated plasma is injected into targeted areas after numbing. Some men report changes in firmness or sensitivity, though evidence is limited and results vary. Because the plasma comes from your own blood, we review your history for any reason it may not suit you.
Some patients combine the P-Shot with GAINSWave. We will help you decide whether to combine them or start with one.

What to expect
- 1Consultation and history. We review your symptoms, medical history and medications, and confirm that PRP is a safe fit for you.
- 2Blood draw and preparation. A small sample is taken from your arm and processed to concentrate the platelets while you relax.
- 3Numbing and treatment. Once the area is comfortably numb, the plasma is injected. Most men go home the same day and resume light activity.

P-Shot questions
Is the P-Shot uncomfortable?
The area is numbed first, so most men feel pressure rather than pain. Mild soreness or swelling for a day or two can occur.
How long do results last?
Duration varies, and results are not guaranteed. Some patients choose a repeat treatment. We discuss a schedule with you.
Is the P-Shot FDA-approved for erectile dysfunction?
No. PRP for erectile dysfunction is off-label, and the evidence is still developing.
Who should not have the P-Shot?
Men with certain blood disorders, active infections or specific medications may not be candidates. We screen for these at your consultation.
