ThermiVa Vaginal Rejuvenation

ThermiVa uses gentle radiofrequency heat on the tissue of the vagina and vulva, without surgery or downtime. Women who notice laxity, dryness or discomfort sometimes consider it. Its use for these concerns is off-label and not FDA-approved for this purpose.

Gentle warmth that supports tissue health

Hormonal changes, childbirth and aging can thin and loosen the tissues of the vaginal area. Women often describe this as dryness, reduced sensation, a feeling of looseness or discomfort during intimacy, and it can affect confidence as well as comfort.

ThermiVa delivers controlled radiofrequency energy through a small handheld device. The warmth is thought to encourage the body to produce new collagen and improve blood flow in the treated tissue. Some women report changes in tone, lubrication or sensation, but these effects are not proven. The FDA has issued a safety communication about energy-based devices used for vaginal rejuvenation.

Treatment is performed in the office, and no anesthesia is needed. Most women find the experience warm and relaxing, and they leave afterward without restrictions. We will help you decide whether ThermiVa alone or combined with other options is the right plan.

What to expect

  1. 1Private consultation. We discuss your concerns and history, and perform an exam if needed to be sure this is the right fit.
  2. 2A warm, relaxed session. A small applicator delivers gradual, comfortable heat. You can let us know if you want it adjusted.
  3. 3Follow-up. Collagen changes are thought to take time, so some women report changes building over the weeks after their series. We check in with you.

Comfort, trust and clear answers

Women often wait years before asking about these concerns. Our team, guided by Dr. Deborah Viglione, MD, makes it easy to start the conversation and answers questions honestly, including what ThermiVa can and cannot do.
